Ricardo Mancebo, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of GenEndeavor and inventor of the company’s proprietary ICR™ and ACR™ enzyme-free molecular technologies. He brings more than 24 years of biotechnology experience spanning molecular biology, genomics, molecular diagnostics, assay and product development, intellectual property, manufacturing, quality, program management, and commercialization.
At GenEndeavor, Dr. Mancebo has led the development of ICR and ACR from invention through federally funded feasibility and analytical studies while directing the company’s intellectual property, product, regulatory, and commercialization strategy.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Mancebo joined a start-up as an early founder employee and helped advance molecular-beacon technologies toward productization. He subsequently led product-development and commercialization programs at large biotechnology tools companies, with responsibilities spanning R&D, product development, manufacturing, quality, marketing, global commercialization, and P&L accountability.
Dr. Mancebo has served as Principal Investigator on multiple federally funded programs. His work includes NIH SBIR awards from NIAID, NICHD, and NCI; NSF SBIR Phase I/II development of ACR; and an NIH Director’s Transformative Research Award for airborne SARS-CoV-2 monitoring.
